Out of My IBIT Call

Last week on 12/9 I bought 2 contracts of the IBIT Calls. IBIT moves with Bitcoin and Bitcoin is having a big day. As I write Bitcoin is to $107 thousand per coin. It made a big jump yesterday, which was Sunday, and it continued up today. My Expiration Date was Jan 17th but after such a big jump I felt there might be a small, short term pullback. Which would be another opportunity to get back in. If not, I’m happy with this profit. I invested $960 and pulled out $1380 for a $420 profit. This Return on Investment (ROI) is 69.5% for a one week trade. This is the power of buying options but you must do it right and be very careful. Buying options is not for Grasshoppers.

 

12/9/24 – Buy to Open 2 IBIT 1/17/25 $57.00 C @ $4.80

12/16/24 – Sell to Close 2 IBIT 1/17/25 $57.00 C @ $6.90

Profit +$420
