Results Week Ending 2/17/23

I had 2 positions end this week. Both I did a Buy to Close before the end of the week, before expiration. I locked in $370 and with this cash I bought more Medical Properties Trust (MPW).

2/7/23 – Sell to Open 10 MPW 2/17/23 $13.00 C @ 40¢ (+$400)

2/13/23 – Buy to Close 10 MPW 2/17/23 $13.00 C @ 13¢ (-$130)

Profit +$270

 

2/14/23 – Sell to Open 10 MPW 2/24/23 $13.00 C @ 33¢ (+$330)

2/15/23 – Buy to Close 10 MOW 2/24/23 $13.00 C @ 23¢ (-$230)

Profit +$100

 

I also have another Covered Call active with these 1000 shares of MPW. This Call is set to expire next week on 3/3/23. This position will give me a premium of $400 if I hold until expiration.

Ths trades I’ve been making the last few weeks are good Grasshopper Trades. This stock’s volatility is low so you don’t get the big swings you would get with other stocks with higher volatility. Plus, as you know I like to get assigned on my Covered Calls but with these I don’t care. If I don’t get assigned I’ll hold the stock for the very high dividend, which will give me more shares.
