Results Week Ending 7/10/20

This week I knocked the cover off the ball more than most weeks. In fact, I only had one bigger week since I started Main Street beats Wall Street. That was the week ending 9/22/16 where I did $21,100.

This week was so big for 2 reasons. #1 was I got out of two LEAPS positions, and the other is Peloton continues to bring me in big money.

I got out of a 1 contract LEAPS with AAPL for a $6775 profit and a 1 contract LEAPS with NVDA for a $4220 profit. Both stocks continued up but NVDA went up over additional $20 after I sold. I would have made a lot more but I’ll never apologize for taking profit.

Lets take a look at the many trades I made this week for the monster profit.

Apple

I was in this LEAPS for a little under 3 months and made a huge profit.

4/17/20 – Buy to Open 1 AAPL 1/21/22 $280.00 C @ $45.00

7/6/20 Sell to Close 1 AAPL 1/21/22 $280.00 C @ $112.75

Nvidia

This LEAPS I was only in a little over a month.

5/27/20 – Buy to Open 1 NVDA 1/21/22 $320.00 C @ $80.00

7/6/20 – Sell to Close 1 NVDA 1/21/22 $320.00 C @ $122.20

Microsoft

MSFT was on the list of Unusual Activity this week. Their options were selling like crazy. I didn’t want to buy a short term option but I wanted a piece of the action for a short term play. I protected myself and bought a 2 contract option with the Expiration Date of 1/15/21. I stayed in the position for 3 days and got out with a $700 profit. I only invested $3750 and had a lot of protection. This was a great trade! 18.6% return.

Skyworks Solutions

I sold the same Call last week but wasn’t assigned. This week I was! I didn’t make anything on the stock because it was an At-the-Money Call.

7/2/20 – Sell to Open 3 SWKS 7/10/20 $130.00 C @ $2.20 (+$660)

United Airlines

Been selling Calls weekly. Again I wasn’t assigned. I’ll take the 1.9% weekly return with a smile.

Sold the same Call for the 2nd week in a row. Hopefully I’ll get another nice Call sold on Monday.

I’ve been going wild with PTON. This is another 20 contract Call I was assigned on. Great Profit! 3% on the premium and $200 on the stock sale. The stock went way above my Strike and there was a good size Opportunity Lost. I DON’T CARE!

I bought KSS on an upgrade. I didn’t get assigned but I already sold a Call to expire next week.

Peloton

When PTON was at $61.50, and already in a 20 contract Covered Call, I sold another 10 contract Call, but this one was a Naked Call. I placed a “Buy-Stop” order at $64.50. The stock went to that level and I was filled on the buy order. Now I had another Covered Call, and I was assigned on these shares also. This was only a $500 premium but I made another $500 on the Stock sale.

7/10/20 – Assigned 1000 Shares PTON @ $65.00
