Bought 2 More LEAPS
Yesterday I reported that I was gonna start testing the waters and buy some long term positions. I said I wanted to do this with the buying of LEAPS options, not stocks. I started this campaign yesterday with the buying of 4 LEAPS, all expiring in January 2022. 1 contract of NVDA, 1 contract of PYPL, 1 contract of SQ and 2 contracts of PENN.
Today I added to these position. I bought 1 contract of AAPL and an additional 1 contract of NVDA.
Apple
When I bought this LEAPS AAPL stock was a $243 and this option has a Delta of .56.
Buy to Open 1 AAPL 1/21/22 $245.00 C @$41.50
Nvidia
I bought another contract of NVDA because I love the stock, and as I said yesterday, if the stocks go down I might average down with additional contracts. NVDA was down today so I bought 1 more contract. Yesterday I paid $62, today I paid $56. I now own 2 contracts at $59. The Delta is .60.
Buy to Open 1 NVDA 1/21/22 $250.00 C @ $56.00
I had another great week. I’ll send out a report tomorrow but my account is up over $10,000 since Monday. Thank god for no commission trades!
Hopefully next week I’ll be back to normal and post all my trade for you who want to see exactly what I’m doing. I would also like to get my “Active Trades” page up and running. The last 3 week I was in and out of so many trades I couldn’t keep the page updated. I feel things could slowly starting to get back to normal trading. We’re still having big up and down days but I think the 2000 point swings are over, hopefully! At the close of the market today the VIX was at 46.80. I think anything below 50 is great for now. It’s been as high as 85. Remember the VIX is the volatility index. Many call it the “Fear Factor.” The higher the VIX, more fear. The lower the VIX the lower the fear. Before the big collapse the VIX was staying a little below 20, which was very low. At this time I think 50 is a good psychological number for the VIX to be below. Let’s hope and pray virus case numbers start to reduce and the Deaths STOP!
Everyone stay safe and enjoy the family.
Successful Trading,
Steve
