Trades With Nvidia & Micron

Yesterday I sold 7 Long Options I was holding with Nvidia with a $5000 profit. The options I sold were to expire on 6/17/22. There was still over 2 months until expiration but this is when Time Decay really starts accelerating. With the stock up I got out with a nice profit.

I like Nvidia so today I bought 5 more Long Options with the expiration date of 8/19/22. I took profit and I’m back in with more time until expiration. I will get out of these as soon as I have a profit I’m happy with. If you make moves like this do not get greedy. I bought (5) 8/19/22 $280 Calls for $34. I would be very happy to sell these options for $39. This would be a $2500 profit. This trade gets a Risk Factor 2.

Micron (MU) came out with great earnings. I bought 500 shares at $84.50 and sold 5 contracts of the 4/1/22 $85 Calls for a premium of $2. I like this for a 3 day option. The premium is 2.6% for the 3 day trade.

 

Buy 500 Shares MU @ $84.50

Sell to Open 5 MU 4/1/22 $85.00 C @ $2.00 (+$1000)

 

If I get assigned I’ll make $250 on the stock sale and the $1000 premium. This trade gets a Risk Factor 1.
