Results Week Ending 2/18/22

I missed last week’s results post. I really didn’t do much except some Day Trading. I don’t like posting Day Trades because I don’t think it’s a good teaching tool for Grasshoppers.

The craziness continues! With the threat of war, inflation worries, interest rates and a host of other political issues, has the market on unsafe ground. This has my trading and market habits on a whole different plane. When I am watching the market I’m doing some Day Trading. When I get sick of watching I get other work done around the house. I did get some Calls sold this week, but I’m being very careful. When the market goes up it can fly crazy, and when it goes down…well we know where it can go! When stocks are below where you bought you must be careful not to get assigned. This week I sold 2 Tesla Calls $100 Out-of-the-Money because I didn’t want to get assigned. With Nvidia I sold 2 separate 3 contract Calls. One set was $15 Out-of-the-Money and the other was $20. With Square I bought 100 shares just to sell a 1 contract Call. I bought at $112.50 and the stock fell below $100. I’m glad I only bought 100 shares.

This is the way the market is these days. We can’t do anything about it. Either make a few trades like this or just stay away! I think it will be like this for a while. Let’s hope Russia puts their guns away then we only have the other 10 internal problems to worry about. But for the time being, don’t give up your day job.

2/16/22 – Sell to Open 1 SQ 2/18/22 $115.00 C @ $2.00 (+$200)

2/18/22 – Expired 1 SQ 2/18/22 $115.00 C

Profit +$200

Total Weekly Gain +$2320
