Day Trades with BBIG

I’m sorry I haven’t been making many Grasshopper Trades but I don’t like the market for those trades so I started working on Day Trading.

One of the stocks I’ve been Day Trading is Vinco Ventures (BBIG). I’m listing a few trades below to show you the type of trades I’m working on. Let me be very clear, I’m not giving up on my swing trading but I’ve been studying and I see some good opportunities with Day Trading. There is no reason I cannot do both. I will continue working on selling my 1 week Calls along with practicing my Day Trading.

What I’m doing with my Day Trading is buying 1000 shares and setting a sell price 20¢ higher. If the stock moves 20¢ I make $200. I want to get out the same day so I don’t have to hold the position overnight. A few I held overnight. If I didn’t hold it overnight I was in the position for about 1 hour.

Here are a few trades I made with BBIG in the last few days. I am not listing these trades on Main Street beats Wall Street. If I like Day Trading, and I’m successful, I’ll start a Day Trading page.

9/3/21 – Buy 1000 Shares BBIG @ $7.00

9/3/21 – Sell 1000 Shares BBIG @ $7.20

Profit +$200

9/7/21 – Buy 1000 Shares BBIG @ $8.00

9/7/21 – Sell 1000 Shares BBIG @$8.20

Profit +$200

With this trade below I set my sell order 20¢ above my buy-in price but it looked like the stock was gonna keep moving. I was in at $9.30 and set the sell order at $9.50. But as the stock was moving I removed the $9.50 sell order and let it run. When it got to $9.60 I put a stop order at $9.50. AS the stock kept moving up I kept raising the stop order. I ended up getting filled at $9.77 for a profit of $470.

9/7/21 – Buy 1000 Shares BBIG @ $9.30

9/7/21 – Sell 1000 Shares BBIG @ $9.77

Profit +$470

I bought 1000 shares of BBIG with a few minutes left to the session on 9/7 (yesterday). I did not get filled with my 20¢ profit. There has been a lot of talk about the stock and it looked like it was gonna move so I held the position overnight. About 15 minutes into today’s session I placed an $11 stop loss order. I was filled for the $1450 profit. I held the stock for 5 minutes on Tuesday and sold 15 minutes into today.

9/7/21 – Buy 1000 shares BBIG @ $9.55

9/8/21 – Sell 1000 Shares BBIG @ $11.00

Profit +$1450

With this one, this morning, I just took the big profit above and the stock dropped. I placed the sell order at $10.87. The stock was struggling so I lowered the sell price to $10.79 and was filled for a $100 profit. I was in this trade for about 15 minutes.

9/8/21 – Buy 1000 Shares BBIG @ $10.69

9/8/21 – Sell 1000 Shares @ $10.79

Profit +$100

These are only my trades with BBIG. I have also been Day Trading M, BTU, UVXY, CHWY, RIOT, PLUG and SQ. I am still in a few positions but did not take a loss yet. Could be beginner’s luck! But I think my technical analysis is helping. I’m still in positions with PLUG and BTU. BTU looks good but PLUG is down about a buck. Hopefully it comes back. This is not a good day for the market. I’ll probably hold this into tomorrow.

Today I also bought a LEAPS on Globalstar (GSAT). It’s a low priced stock but there’s talk of the stock making a move. With the stock at $2.50 I bought 10 1/20/23 $2.50 Calls for a premium of $1.15.

Buy to Open 10 GSAT 1/20/23 $2.50 C @ $1.15

This Call Option has 500 days until expiration.

If you have any questions on my new venture into Day Trading send me an email. Remember, I’m not becoming a Day Trader. I just don’t like the way the market is moving and I’m trying to stay in positions for the day only. I always said I don’t like owning stock, and I still don’t. Right now I like being liquid.

Successful trading,

Steve
